The Hub, presented by Albertsons and The Container Store, is a mobile locker filled with iPads, notebook computers, DVD players, gaming systems and other items intended to help pass time during treatment or recovery. The Container Store provided its custom elfa® shelving system and clear boxes in all sizes to keep The Hub organized and make it easy for the children and their families to access the games and resources inside.

In addition to receiving The Hub, the children and families were able to meet, play video games and take photos with Dalton.

“These kids and their families received a lot more than a few games and electronics with The Hub,” said Grant Harris, vice president of Cook Children’s Health Foundation. “Every ounce of hope someone can provide is worth more to them than we could ever imagine. Andy and Jordan provided some of that hope today.”

The Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation also hosted a dinner and auction Wednesday evening at Joe T. Garcia’s in Fort Worth to raise funds for Foundation programs, like The Hub. More than 225 guests attended the annual event, and donors contributed nearly $160,000. Proceeds from auction items – including autographed sports memorabilia and other luxury items – will support future programming for Fort Worth children.

“It’s incredible how strong those kids and their families are, considering what they’ve been through,” Dalton said. “Jordan and I want to thank those who came to the fundraiser and supported our Foundation’s work. The donors’ generosity makes it possible for our Foundation to continue supporting Fort Worth children and their families.”
