Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation Awarded Pair of Grants to Support Continued Outreach in Cincinnati Communities

The Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation was awarded a pair of grants in the past two weeks that will support continued efforts to improve the lives of seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in the Cincinnati area. The grants, totaling $15,000, were awarded by The UPS Foundation and Ethicon.
The UPS Foundation’s $5,000 grant will support the Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation’s annual holiday outreach program, ‘The Gift of Christmas with the Daltons.’ The funds will allow the Foundation to incorporate additional families from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital & Medical Center into the program.
This grant continues a partnership between the Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation and UPS, who has a long history of supporting Dalton Foundation outreach.
“The UPS Foundation is honored to support the Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation’s efforts to provide support, resources and experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families,” said Eduardo Martinez, president of The UPS Foundation and chief diversity and inclusion officer at UPS. “Our goal is to fund powerful programs that make a lasting difference to the global community.”
In addition to the annual holiday program, The UPS Foundation has also supported the ‘King for a Day’ program in the past. Since 2014, UPS has granted over $27,500 and provided dozens of volunteers for Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation outreach programs.
In addition to The UPS Foundation grant, Ethicon provided a $10,000 grant to the Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation in support of the Pass It On Fund. These additional funds will allow the Foundation to impact up to five more families through the Pass It On Fund this fall by covering severely needed medical expenses for their children.
The Pass It On Fund provides medical equipment to families with seriously ill or physically challenged children who are in financial need. Serving as a financial hand-up while strengthening the ability of these families to care for themselves, this program aims to improve their overall quality of life.
Ethicon, too, maintains a long history of funding Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation outreach programs, having provided $40,000 in grants over the past five years. These grants have supported multiple programs as well, including both the Pass It On Fund and The Gift of Christmas (formerly Holiday Hearts).
