ANDY & JJ'S WHY
Andy and JJ were inspired to start the foundation when they were in college at TCU. One of Andy’s coaches had a granddaughter that was diagnosed with cancer. To lift her spirits, Andy was asked to connect with her and send her well wishes and prayers. Andy saw the immediate impact that a small act of kindness could make on a child and he knew, when the time was right, that he had to do something about it.
JJ has worked with children with special needs since she was in high school. She has been a witness to the challenges many of these families go through and feels blessed to be in a position to give back through the foundation.
The Daltons started the foundation even before Andy stepped foot on the football field. As students at TCU, Andy and JJ consistently spent their time volunteering in the community. Between visiting pediatric hospitals and assisting children in special education programs, the Daltons quickly developed a passion for helping seriously-ill and physically-challenged youth.
Upon their arrival to Cincinnati in 2011, the Daltons launched their personal foundation to help these families. Equipped with five ongoing community outreach programs and a devotion to service, Andy and JJ Dalton have impacted the lives of 3.8 million individuals.
