Andy and JJ Dalton highlight Crossroads' Royal Prom for fourth consecutive year

FLORENCE (September 21, 2018) – For the fourth year in a row, Andy Dalton and his wife JJ attended The Royal Prom at Crossroads Church in Florence, Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati. Presented by Young Life Capernaum Ministries and supported by a partnership of local churches, Royal Prom is an annual event that hosts more than 1,500 individuals suffering from physical and mental disabilities, their family members, and volunteers. Royal Prom is completely free of charge and welcomes those of all ages, from early teenagers to senior citizens.

Due to physical restrictions and unfortunate social stigmas, many mentally and physically challenged individuals do not attend events that most of us take for granted, such as high school prom. Young Life Capernaum Ministries, Crossroads Church, and the Daltons all teamed up to provide these individuals with a night that they will remember for the rest of their lives. Andy & JJ welcomed the hundreds of guests in attendance by posing for pictures, dancing, and happily celebrating the evening’s festivities.

For families of children with disabilities, it was a joy to witness their sons and daughters having the time of their life without worrying about social acceptance or judgement from others. It was even more relieving for them to know that such prominent figures in the local community, like Andy and JJ Dalton, would spend their entire Friday night in support of the disabled children and adults.

Though Royal Prom is not an official program of the Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation, spending time with physically and mentally disabled children is nothing new to them. Their foundation has held ongoing community outreach programs since 2011 designed to improve the quality of life of those suffering from physical and mental challenges. In fact, the notion of providing these individuals with experiences where they feel like royalty is a recurring theme in the Daltons’ philanthropic endeavors, as they regularly host children with disabilities for a dream day at Kings Island through the King for a Day program.

Andy Dalton’s commitment to supporting seriously ill, physically handicapped, and mentally challenged children in the community remains unparalleled. While the Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation has impacted more than 3.8 million individuals, the Daltons continue to make time to support these families through events – such as Royal Prom – that are completely unaffiliated with their own charity. Thanks to the Daltons’ collaboration with Young Life Capernaum Ministries and Crossroads Church, hundreds of physically and mentally challenged individuals were given a night that the will remember for the rest of their lives.
